Arlington Texas

I posted a thread about Fairfield Ohio and our plans changed. I am now in Arlington and looking for a good place to sell dogs. I cant use my cart here because they require total electric so I am looking in the towns near by, If you have any ideas let me know. I am ready to go to work. Also anyone know what brands are big sellers in the area?

Been here 10 years and been my experience that dogs aren't real big here. I know that the Home Depots and Lowes stores all seem to have carts right outside their exit doors. Sell Dogs, spicy dogs, Texas hot links polish etc. There is a stand (empty now) on the NW corner of 183& 157 in Bedford that has had at least 4 different owners under different names that I know of including some folks from Chicago. Friends of mine own the Windy City Grill on Rufe Snow in Keller They sell Vienna Beef dogs Italian beef sausage etc. They are doing weel and have just put in a small bar. There is Festival in Euless on July 4, wher they will have a Vienna Cart selling dogs Beefs and Gyros. You might want to check them ou.t

Well I am set up outside of the VFW in Roanoke,TX...Today was my first day and it was very slow. I have a pretty busy highway (114) in front of me but I had alot of looks but not many people stopping. Anyway if there are any Roadfood members in the area stop and mention it, I will take care of ya! I did pick up a grand opening for a huge car wash and he offered me weekends there if I wanted....So it was not a bad day!

Ohman, I have family in Dallas, but only get out there once a year if I'm lucky. What brand are you selling. I hope you have a big umbrella to keep that sun off you.

Well right I sell Vienna but I am looking for another brand. I dont want to step on any toes in here but I am just not impressed with them. I want to sell Zweigle's italian sausages but shipping is too high. I cant seem to pin point the brand of choice of hot dogs.

ohman, are you still at the VFW? Unless you have a portable generator, you should try some of the local retailers to see if you can set up on their sidewalk. There is a Chicago-style place called Taste of Chicago located in the Mobil gas station on Matlock and Sublett. Vienna dogs, polish and brats; Italian Beef sandwiches, etc. Pretty good.
