Does anyone know of a good restaurant in the Brighton or the South Lyon area of Michigan? I'd like to treat my sister and her husband for a night out but have no idea where to go.

Hello: Long ago there was an excellent dining spot, only place outside of California for abalone (Some in-law was an airline pilot and smuggler of shellfish). Now I don't know about dining. BUT this might be interesting for you. My wife and I love to find true delights in breakfast spots. Jaqueline's in Scottsdale (great omelettes and bskery), The Buff in Boulder (lemon zest pancakes with pecans) -- you get the idea. Well in Brighton there is s sister restaurant (original site I believe) to a truly delightful one more near us down closer to Detroit. I've never been in the Brighton version, but the sister (daughter?) restaurant down here is absolutely s delight. Hours from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, breakfast brunch and lunch. Just try it. Unless you don't like superb waffles, frittats's, healthy skillet meals, oatmeal and brown sugar with real cream, blueberry dishes -- and I mean superb -- you too will be delighted. Not for dinner, but a pearl of a restaurant.

Duhhh!? I guess it would help if I put in the name: "The Breakfast Club" on West Grand River in Brighton.
