Hi John. I just rec'd my copy of the new Stern's book and was glad to see they mentioned Charlie's. They said it was "west of Newark". Well, OK, so is California...
Anyway, thanks for the link. One of my favorite places in all of NJ.

Hello all ,
One of the finest dogs and sauce I have ever had . It is worth the trip from anywhere in the Northeast . And let me know when you are going and just might meet you there .
John and Joe are the best , the atmosphere is one of a kind . Just make sure you bring a gPS or get good directions .

I'm heading back "home" (Flemington, NJ) tomorrow morning for a wedding reception in Stroudsburg on Friday evening and plan on stopping by the Pool Room for lunch the next day. This time I'll know better than to order only 2 mealies. pb
