Asheville NC for New Years

I am going to Asheville, NC with my in laws for the new years weekend. We are going to Biltmore to check their Christmas decorations out and want to find some places that have good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The price range does not matter, we are looking for anywhere with good food. Thanks in advance!

We had dinner at the Stable next to the Biltmore in early December and it was very good. We had smoked prime rib which was outstanding.

There are seven Eateries right at the Biltmore; all very good and you can say you dined with the Vanderbilts!

I am not sure where you will be staying but I have stayed at the Grove Park Inn several times. The breakfast buffet there is wonderful with a great view of the mountains. valley and the city. Be sure and get a window as there are many available. The fireplaces in the lobby of this giant beautiful hotel is big enough to drive a truck through. http://www.groveparkinn.com/Leisure/Dining/ Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

We spent a week in Ashville NC recently and ate at these restaurants. We enjoyed the food and service at all of them. Tupelo Honey Cafe for breakfast and dinner - loved the biscuits and honey. Chorizo (Latin cuisine) for breakfast - located in the Grove Arcade Mela - Indian - in downtown Ashville Zambra - tapas - in downtown Ashville 12 Bones - BBQ - in the River Arts district We also ate at the Stable restaurant at the Biltmore and despite being extremely busy and bustling had good service and food. Enjoy your stay - the Biltmore is outstanding.

Tupelo Honey, Chai Pani and Creperie Bouchon are among my favorites, but there is a heck of a lot to see and eat in this city. We've covered it fairly well on our blog and are looking forward to a return trip in April. http://marieletseat.blogs...rolina%20-%20asheville

Thanks so much! One thing Asheville lacks is good BBQ. Luella's is the best that we know of, but it's not in my top 20 or anything. They make up for it with lots of other great things.
