Why does everyone think she has to have a mental problem or a "encapsulated" mental problem?? ...What a bunch of crap.........she's a woman damn it, and she's acting like a woman. "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned Nor Hell a fury, like a woman scorned".

I have heard nothing yet that would explain the prosecutors decision to go with an attempted 1st degree murder charge. Even with a pellet pistol and a knife in her posession ... since when does pepperspraying someone qualify as attempted murder? ... I mean, the whole reason the police use it is because it is explicitly NOT lethal force. The victim has stated: "I opened my window about 2 [inches] and she sprayed me with a mace or pepper spray. I threw the car in gear and drove to the parking office, where we called the police," she wrote. She said the spray burned her "head, face, eyes, nose and left hand and forearm." I can't imagine that the prosecutor really expects to get a conviction. This is expensive grandstanding at the taxpayers expense ... it's the prosecutors big day in the media sunshine, and by gob, they're going to make the most of it. They're probably counting on the defendANT copping a plea ... so as not to look like dopes who shot too high and lost the conviction. (possibly they really don't want to put an astronaut in jail?) Either way ... I guarantee I'm going to be absolutely sick and tired of the juiced up Jerry-Springer'esque proceedings lonnnnnng before any verdict is reached.

The target for the alledged kidnapping/murder Colleen Shipman is a native of nearby Beaver County, Pa., so this has been an especially big story around here. The headline in the Beaver County Times newspaper was "Shuttles to Shackels".
