Driving down to Florida's Cedar Key for Thanksgiving. We're trying to hit Atlanta around lunch time. Where do we find good bbq?!. And, will be going into the Gainesville area after Turkey day. Who knows anything about where to eat there?-Thanks

Harold's, near the airport -- reviewed on this site is excellent. Dillard's, north of town (#2 Buford Highway, Suwanee, GA 30024) is one of the best I've ever encountered.

Three places just off I-75: BBQ Street at Exit 273 then right 1/2 mile, Williamson Bros. on Roswell St. in Marietta, exit 263, and OB's at exit 228 (?). Harold's is good too, but a bit off the beaten path near the federal prison in S. Atlanta.

I've had some from a fairly new one, Rollin' Bones on Edgewood Ave, that's quite good.

Fresh Air BBQ. 35 minutes south of Atlanta on I-75. Jackson exit Hwy 42. Go left after you exit the interstate and go straight through downtown Jackson. It is about 2 miles out of town. Worth the trip.

Actually it's either Exit 205 (Jackson)or 212 (Locust Grove), but it's about 8-10 miles off the interstate. Good BBQ if you can tolerate the diversion from the trip.
