Bumping an old thread to say...

I stopped at Schoepf's BBQ yesterday and had some sausage and pork chops. The sausage was good but the porkchop was unbelievable. after much consideration I came to the conclusion that it was the best I've ever eaten to date. thick, juicy, slightly smoked, with no other seasoning (that I could tell) then salt and pepper.

If you're down here for the tour I highly recommend you drive up and give them a try.

Sorry to get in here so late, but the elusive power adapter for my beastly laptop finally arrived and am now playing catch up here.

I just want to say that this trio would fit right in at my work.
Or maybe they could just send them to me and I wouldnt have to buy anymore.....

All in all, it looked like another wonderful get together... Bummed here drooling over all those ribs!..
Ever the search still goes on for Ribs/BBQ here in Myrtle Beach!

      Larry,

We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your Pork Chops!! We found them to be great as well. After our two stops at Schoepf's Bushie and others spoke well of the place and wondered how it had "slipped under the Radar" so to speak. I thought that too untill I noticed two of the BBQ programs seen last year on Food Network featured stops there too... One for the troops from Fort Hood (The Best of -Military food) , and another bragging about how President Bush has treated his Press Corps and had BBQ flown in to D C for some events there. I guess the place has a life of it's own.

They do make a Fine Pork Chop!!!

I wholeheartedly agree. I've been back there a few times since The Mayor took me there last year. From my experience, it's best to get the pork chops early in the day, as they will dry out sitting on the pit. They are the best chops I've ever eaten, when they're in their prime.
