BB Bats - No longer in production?? Sat, 12/17/05 5:20 PM (permalink)
Say it ain't so.

I was going to order some from the web, and it looks like they are not being made anymore.

I googled "BB Bats" and found lots of sites where you can find them. (My favorite was always banana. )

A place in Kittery, ME, across from the outlet mall, called Yummies, sells them. It's an outlet candy place which has all types of old-time candies in bulk, or so much per pound. We found it on a trip earlier this year.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but these are the centerpiece of a family legend. When I was just a toddler, my grandfather (maternal) owned a small grocery store. My parents took me for a visit, and while I was walking around the store, I picked up a BB Bat, unwrapped it, and stuck it in my mouth.
        My grandfather charged my father.
Oddly enough, a couple of years earlier when my parents got married, my dad had picked up the tab for my grandfather's tux with the understanding that my grandfather would pay him back. He never brought it up again.
Personally, I'd have considered the BB Bat for the tux rental a fair trade, but then I'm not my grandfather.
