I must be looking at another picture, I see 2-3 pieces of bread between the meat on top and nothing but a plate on the bottom.  John

My qualifications for food porn is easily defined. It is something that looks incredibly tempting when you see it in a cookbook or on TV, but you know that your spouse or even you cannot do it. Or would do it. You wish it could be in front of you, but it never will.
I see examples of it on The Food Channel, but more often on the morning news. It is on the news shows where some local chef comes on to demonstrate a recipe from their restaurant. Here, they are doing exactly that, making dishes that you can't do as the ingredients are unattainable. The only way to eat what they are demonstrating is to come to their place...
At the bookstore recently, I saw the best example. It was The Charlie Trotter Cookbook with pictures and recipes that no home cook could possibly make. I liked the carrot terrine with ****ake salad, carrot reduction, dill oil and 50 year old vinegar. It won't happen in my house. Like many examples here, it is the pictures that look great. If you wish to get satisfaction after seeing them, you have to pay.
