From the local paper, The Herald-Gazette: Mouth watering barbecue and scorching blues are on the weekend menu in downtown Barnesville April 27 & 28 for the third annual BBQ & Blues Festival. Professional and amateur cooking teams will begin setting up camp in the Market Street parking areas Thursday night and Friday morning to compete in the sanctioned BBQ cookoff. Family activities get underway at 5 p.m. Friday with a kids fun park, classic car show and plenty of barbecue pork and chicken, hot wings and chili on the menu. A free concert will begin at 6 p.m. featuring Barnesville’s own Mark Henson and XTRA, a Southern rock band from Griffin. The music will emanate from a stage set up near the tax commissioners office and the First National Bank drive-in banking facility. On Saturday, the barbecuing gets serious as the teams vie for trophies and cash prizes and you get to sample their wares. A $5 ticket will get visitors samples from six competitors. At 5 p.m. Saturday, the venue changes to the Ritz Park on Forsyth Street for a night of live music. The music begins at 5 p.m. with a performance by the Master Blasters, featuring Lamar County commissioner Bennie Horton and his son, Ronald ‘Tootsie’ Horton. Next on stage will be 4U2C, which features a host of local performers including Barnesville mayor Dewaine Bell. The third act of the evening will be Griffin’s Buckeye Band, featuring Carl Pruett.

And here is the website for it. Barnesville is midway between Macon and Atlanta about 15 miles west of I-75. I may or may not get this as a link, so you may have to copy and paste. <http://www.barnesville.org/bbq_blues.htm>
