BK Quadruple Stacker

I tried one out this afternoon. It was pretty good, though they put a bit too much cheese on it. You've got to love the commercial though.

I used to love the old BK Bacon Double Cheeseburger back when I was in college. No condiments, just two patties, bacon and cheese. Maybe there was a pickle in there somewhere. It was the only sandwich that seemed to work with BKs policy of nuking everything to order - melted everything together.

The other day I saw the stacker when I was driving through to get my giant morning coke and it reminded me of the old dbl-chz but the menu board said that it came with "stacker-sauce", which I can only assume is some sort of 100% fat goo. Totally turned me off. Then again, maybe it's just that I'm a little more food-savvy now.

Now if they would bring back the Yumbo, I might have to give it a try.

Edited to add that I don't like the commercials.

Just checked the BK website. The quad stacker is 1000 calories, 68 grams of fat, 240 mg of cholesterol and 1800(!)mg of sodium. Sorry, but that is absolutely sickening.

More power to you. Like anything else, it's a personal choice. I was a "king size" chap myself about 2 years ago. I decided that my health was suffering greatly, and I did something about it. I have now dropped close to 75 pounds. I still love my food, but I'm way more particular as to what I'm going to indulge in. My original point was that, if I'm going indulge and eat something that's 1,000 calories (which I still do, but with great infrequency), it certainly ain't going to be from a place like Burger King.

I do try to eat healthier than I did 10yrs ago, I don't need to know how many grams of fat is in a quad, I can tell just looking at it, its no good for me, same with a monster angus or a sack of krystals. So I don't eat them everyday or even everyweek but an occasional indulgance does a soul good

It amazes me how some threads are locked or deleted so quickly...meanwhile, a thread about BK can stay in the hamburger thread for days on end and not moved to FFF.

That's because it could really fit in either category, I assume. The stacker IS a burger after all.

Yeah, I am buying new cars every week on the kickbacks from the FF Burger stands for letting them remain in the wrong forum. Sheesch.. Get a life. If you don't like the way I moderate this one...Feel free to petition the management to take over the moderation of the Hamburger forum on a 24 hour a day basis... so you can preserve the dignity of the freaking sandwich.

Crisco is made from vegetables. It's far too healthy.

As for the BK commercials, where did they find that guy who looks just like Tattoo?

Well if it happens it happens. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm getting sick and tired of all these health nuts lately who think they can tell other people how to run their lives and actually getting away with it- in effect forcing fast food places to modify their menus, getting schools to stop selling chips and soda to kids and so forth. If someone doesn't want to eat such foods, then by all means they shouldn't have to, but its not up to them to decide how others are to live their lives.

sorry Al. I just noticed that you're moderating the hamburger thread alone.

~I'd be more than happy to help any moderator with a topic where they are alone on the moderation of a thread. I'm sure more hands would make it easier.
