BK's new bacon double homestyle melt Sat, 11/3/07 12:16 PM (permalink)
Has anyone tried this yet?? IMO....it was absolutely horriible! They put some kind of garlic sauce on it, which to me tasted like ranch dressing. I LOVE ranch dressing, but on this burger, it did not taste good at all! Also, the buttery bun that it was on was totally soggy, so much to the point that I had real hard time eating it without it slopping all over. I have never had a burger with a bun that was so completely soggy! I will never try this one again, and will be shooting a letter off to BK as to what I think of their newest concoction!!!

Thanks for the warning. I wasn't running out to get one, but the commercial with the housewives hiring a hit man to take out the King tickled me. I just might have ordered one if I happened to be at BK.

I broke down and tried one last night.

I like my sour dough crusty not soggy, the sauce was unique but mixed with the char taste

I tossed it outside my kitchen window, the Raccoon didnt even eat it.

somehow I doubt that, unless the raccoons were already full from another meal. My wife once got sick when we were camping. She puked up her dinner, her captain and cokes, and some smores at about 4am, a few hours after she went to bed. The raccoons (who I saw rumaging around our tent site at 6am) ate her puke....ALL of it, every last chunk.

I see no reason to buy the sandwich, but i do get a laugh out of the commercial where the soccer moms try to take out a hit on the Burger King.BK spends their advertising dollars well, they get so much feedback about the "Creepy" Burger King.I dont see the creepy part,I just see ad campaigns that generate comments. Its that old "Any publicity is good publicity" thing.Go head on BK,you rock.

So, you are saying you'll send a letter to BK telling them their food is awful ... I'll bet this will not be their first such communication.

He must be, I had to pick the nasty thing up from the yard today, the coons, the neighbor's dogs, the other neighbor's cats, NOBODY ate the thing.

So I was stuck picking up that stinky piece of (insert your own colorful term here) and putting it in the neighbor's outdoor trash can.

Maybe I should have had Score's wife come over and vomit on it so they would eat it.?.?

I still find this FFF hilarious, but I will offer an off-topic comment.

When my son was @15, he worked for our neighborhood BK. This may have just been the franchisee's operating method, and may be why he is no longer in business, but my son told me that they would run the burgers throught the "flame-broiler" and the burgers would travel into a "pit" of grease. When an order came in, they would take the burger out of the "grease pit" and microwave it to order.

This is the reason I would not even think about eating at BK.

the best thing at BK are the Stackers. especially if you have a buy 1 get1 coupon.

I agree, my local BK has 2 order takers who are really stacked, only reason I go!

Hmmm, we must have some good BK's in the Dallas area. I used to love geting the 1$ whopers, combine all but the bun unto 1 burger, and feed the extra bun to the birds in the parking lot. Wasn't a bad $ burger. The birds were happy and so was I. It's ben a while since they have had the 1$ whopers though.

just going by the picture of one in the ads, I'd be staying away from them. They just flat don't look appetizing. They look like they're made with pancakes.

I had it...the Ranch ruins it.

The older I get the more I hate Ranch.

Ok, hate is too strong a word. I'll save hate for things I really hate, like Miracle Whip.

I remember that Hardee's used to make a sourdough griller. That sandwich was much better.
