BURGER CHEF TRADEMARK CHALLENGE Thu, 08/16/07 12:12 AM (permalink)
Hello All,

If you didn't know about this yet, just a note to let you know that a company called River West Brands- A brand revitalization company- is currently challenging Hardee's Food Systems for the rights to the Burger Chef trademarks. This case is currently pending at the US Patent and Trademark Office. Suposedly they are in negotiations as well. River West Brands would like to resurrect Burger Chef as a new and better than ever restaurant franchise. We shall see.

Perhaps if people really let Hardee's and its parent company- CKE- know that they want a Burger Chef revival, that would encourage them to either partner with someone to revive it, revive it themselves as a co-brand or stand alone or let go of the trademarks altogether. Let them know. Can't hurt.

As was mentioned on the other Burger Chef thread, River West withdrew its Petition of Cancellation. Pages two and three, signed by both parties, confirm this:
          http://ttabvue.uspto.gov/ttabvue/ttabvue-92046880-CAN-32.pdf

A list of the filings with the USPTO can be found here:
          http://ttabvue.uspto.gov/ttabvue/v?pno=92046880&pty=CAN&eno=4/

The TESS system shows the Burger Chef trademark still owned by Hardees.
