I'm always on the hunt for a good burger in any form or style. Here are 30 burgers from the past year or so that I have been able to capture pictures of. The burger is one of those things that you know you will be eating from childhood until the end of time. Use this thread to post a picture of your favorite burgers during your time spent traveling.

KingT, I love hamburgers ( I'm not too wild about cheeseburgers though ), and I'm really impressed by your burger photos. Most of these thirty burgers are ones that I'd love to sink my teeth into ( a couple, not so much ); in fact I've had the burgers at Schoop's, Moody's Pub, White Palace, Billy Goat Tavern and Madvek's. Schoop's and Moody's are my favorites of the five; Billy Goat's is pretty good, White Palace's burgers were better before the remodeling that included replacing the ages-old grill, and Madvek's loosemeat sandwiches are just okay ( certainly not in the same league as Maid-Rite's. ) If you haven't had the burgers at the Country House ( Clarenden Hills ) and Hackney's ( six locations ), you should check them out; they are my number one and number two favorite hamburgers anywhere.

We missed going to the Billy Goat in ChiTown..Not enough time to get to all the places.

Truly burger nirvana!! Great pics, am sorry we don't get out to that part of the world that often, but I think it's burgers for dinner!

Baah Ben, if you want to do the roadfood thing in Chicagoland properly, you need at least two weeks, probably longer. Believe me, there's that much great food to check out. Burgers, pizza, italian beef, steaks, hot dogs, seafood... you name it, it's here, and much of it is among the best in the country. Next time that you're coming to Chicago, let me know and I'll take you around to some of my favorite places and/or the places that you most want to try.

I'll have one of each, please!  They all look wonderful!  Great food - great photos!

They are all beauties, but the one from Weiners circle is crying my name!

I have only eaten, on this list, a burger from Big Star( I await their opening each year with my best friend, who lives in Kenosha)and Charcoal Inn( lived in Sheboygan for 7 years and I could, and did, walk to their north side location) and I can say these are wonderful burgers.Looking forward to tasting the others!

I'm simply speechless !If I was to have a last meal before the Electric Chair I would want one of each.

A medium-rare Hackneyburger on their wonderful dark bread!!! Be still, my beating heart...

nocarolina, we're gonna have to get you up to Fred's Bar in Burlington, Wisconsin.  You'll never look back at a Hackneyburger once you've had Fred's.

I have to give extra points to any place that serves crinkle-cut fries.... a big plus in my book. Also the first burger pic where it appeared more sub than burger gets more points as well.

NC - You won't get any arguments on ChiTown from me..We loved everything about Chicago.  We were there for a week (like you said..not enough time), but still couldn't get to all the places we wanted to go to. We did get to see the Cubbies play (the reason for the trip!)

We liked that Weber Grill restaurant..Very interesting.  Pretty good burger.

great pics youse guys but not a good idea to look at, at dinner time when I was planning on a salad, lol

Not being mean or rude or to P on anyones Wheaties but a lot of the burgers look WAY over cooked to me, that's all nothing against anyone or thing.

I don't think it is rude to express your opinion at all, but I am curious as to how you can determine that they are overcooked given that the majority of the burgers are pictured whole?

Beyond that, wouldn't "overcooked" be relative to how the person who was served the burger ordered said burger?

I had an excellent fried-onion burger yesterday from a small place here in Guthrie called Bar Mac Cafe. Just as good or better that Johnnie's in El Reno.
