Jack in the Box loves bacon lovers!
The JITB Bacon Insider™
Jack’s newest creation is a bacon triple threat. A juicy beef patty mixed with savory pieces of bacon. This new bacon and beef patty is sandwiched between hickory smoked bacon and topped with creamy bacon mayo, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese. All served on our new soft warm brioche bun. This burger is sure to make you want to “bring home the bacon”.
Haven't tried one yet but it's on the Bucket List!
Anyone had one???

The closest JITB is over 200 miles from here, or I'd surely try it out.

          3 Miles for me..........

IMHO, Mc Donalds will be left in the dust if they don't start cooking to order. Wendy's has come out with some good looking chicken and bacon cheese burger's. Jack in the box, cooks to order. Even Arby's has come out with a BBQ beef sandwich, that has been received and reviewed by many people as being a good sandwich. I feel these places may be good for a drive through window fast service. I don't see a need for fast service if I'm inside the restaurant. I could wait a few minutes for a fresh off the grill burger..............pnwc

JITB is 100 miles from us.  Just as well, we make killer burgers at home although it is a little chilly to fire up the Weber.

The closest one is 437 miles away. Seriously. I remember they had some in Philadelphia when I was growing up. I hate to tell you what they called JITB back then. I would not remember anything about their food.

Sit tight Midwesterner's & Easterners. JITB is working it's way East and will be in your area soon.
One of the things I like about them is they serve breakfast all day and their sausage, egg & cheese biscuit is pretty good. Better than McD's but not as good as Hardee's/Carl's Jr.

JITB has been steadfastly avoiding the I-75 corridor for as long as I can remember.  Seriously, look at their map, and it's like somebody made 'em an offer they can't refuse to stay at least an hour away from this highway.

I've stopped at that one MellowRoast mentions that's 88 miles away from him - it's in Murfreesboro, right off I-24 - but have succumbed to temptation in Anderson SC a couple of times.

Nearest one to me is almost 500 miles away. I don't eat fast food very often, but when I lived in Seattle it was just about the only place I'd go (ok, I'd occasionally hit Taco Time). We're getting a Sonic in Syracuse this year, but I'd rather have JITB.

I think they got the idea from a local small chain of restaurants here, Slater's 50/50. Lots of good burgers. The name describes the burger patty---50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon. They've been around for about 4 years now. As far as JITB, better late than never, but JITB does a credible job, so I'm sure it will be an interesting burger. Good catch, Foodbme.

I would love to try Slater's 50/50.  They were on the Travel Channel and the burgers looked fantastic!

That Slater's burger does sound good...I may have to try it at home.  Mrs. Chicken's parents gave us a 1970s-vintage Montgomery Ward meat grinder and I could use it to make my own blend.  I've made jucy lucys with bacon added to the cheese center before, but never burgers where the bacon's mixed with the beef.

I wonder if Slater's trims most of the fat from the bacon prior to grinding it.

I doubt they trim the fat because on the Travel Channel they showed folks eating the burgers and they were just dripping all over the place.

We have a non-roadfood restaurant here in Madison called Graze. The serve a "Graze Burger"....ground bacon, sirloin, ribeye, and short ribs. It's delectable, but also 21 smackers. My server laughed when I told her I'd probably pay 22. Trust me, it will be my first and last, but worth it.

In 1971 I lived in downtown San Francisco, there was a JITB about 4 blocks away, every Monday night I'd get about enough of Jack's food to feed 10, a case of Anchor Steam, watch Monday night football, I would be in heaven, within hours my gas was from hell, Anchor Steam and Jack does that!

I still have and use a couple of thin, serrated edged steak knives I got for free at a San Francisco JITB in the mid-1980's.

Gag. Artificially flavored imitation 'bacon' bits mixed with cheap 'mayo' loaded with preservatives. Tried it once, threw it out, along with the so-called 'Baconsalt'. Same crap bits ground up and mixed into salt.
It is not to my taste.

                                                2 - 3 miles for me.

But I always buy the 2/$1 tacos.

I get cooked to order burgers at McDonald's buy simply saying...  Extra pickles, please.  (But I get the cheapie burgers... which I love)

Way too far away for me, but I often buy a leaner cut of burger meat and/or meat to grind and then add some bacon to it in a 2nd grind.  Have few jars of Baconnaise secreted away theat I also use

                                                  Please describe your "Baconnaise"

It's a commercial product by the guys who made Bacon-salt......found it on the net and ordered some.........I like it..a bit creamier than regular Mayo, but has a great flavor.

It amazes me how far behind the times JITB and Wendy's and McDonalds are............  I have been mixing bacon inside of my burgers for years!

There's a place at a market near me that sells 50/50 patties for $4 a pound, and they're really good. A little tricky to do on the grill because they flare up easily, but I guess that means I need to practice more.

JITB is 100 miles from us.  Just as well, we make killer burgers at home although it is a little chilly to fire up the Weber.

It is not!! It was a balmy 15 degrees out yesterday and I grilled out.

(Of course even my wife admits I was nuts for doing that; she should be used to me grilling in cold by now)
