Bacon snack from 70's/80's

I remember back in the 70's & 80's there being a bacon flavored snack/chip that looked like a strip of bacon but can not remember the name of it. Does anyone have any ideas? Would love to know if it is still around.

I am guessing this is what you are talking about (Baken Snaps): http://www.inthe70s.com/generated/food.shtml

I don't think they are available any more, but it is interesting to see how many of the other foods introduced in the '70s you remember (some of them are still around today).

Those were awesome, and I was just trying to remember the name a few days ago.. That website brought back a lot of memories.

pdxyyz, this is so funny. My immediate thought when I first read this topic was: Beggin' Strips! I was going to post something about them as a joke, but couldn't come up with anything...

I did try a Milkbone once, and it wasn't bad at all. Beggin' Strips might be tasty for all we know.

I remeber a snack like that. They had a similar texture to pork rinds.

My dad sold them in his grocery store for a short while. They were maroon and beige stripes and looked very fake but I ate them anyway. I can't remember if I liked them or not. It was such a long time ago!

I remember those- I used to love them. They were like eating extra crispy bacon pieces. I can't for the life of me remember what they were called but I haven't seen them since the early 80's. Bacon Dipper crackers just aren't the same thing.
