I am a big fan of Paula Deen's Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding. It does not have an made from scratch pudding, but uses instant French vanilla pudding, cream cheese & sweetened condensed milk for the pudding. Also, Paula suggests using Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies instead of vanilla wafers & the Pepperidge Farm cookies are a great addition.

Dennis - Superb photo! I like it! like seeing the sides of the pudding and the wafers. Only thing I prefer legitimate whipped cream.

Do you think the pineapple (high acid) will break down the pudding and make it runny? DLBrown..I cannot get over how beautiful your banana pudding is. I look at it frequently.

Baah Ben feel free to look at it all you like, it was as good as it looks. My wife is not real big on cooking, she can follow a recipe, but her thing is baking and desserts. I may try and make it this weekend, will have to see. I plan on getting the pineapple chunks as dry as I can,...... I have even thought about carmalizing them in a little sugar first but don't know yet. I think if I just get them super dry they should work. I'll let you guys know.... Dennis in Cary
