Here's a Newsday video on the Long Island KCBS sanctioned event.  You may recognize a fellow Roadfooder that competed in this years event.

Sadly, cablevision bought Newsday and implemented a paywall and in 3 months they only picked up 35 subscribers for web content.

It's a shame, the video journalist Chris Ware did an rather nice job.

There are some stills over at mouthfuls with the aforementioned roadfooder clearly labeled.  He's in the 2nd posting of photos.

The day the Dolan family (AKA Cablevision) touched Newsday, it spelled the end of a fantastic organization with roots in the community.  One of the great institutions of Long Island, turned into compost overnight.   Seriously, how does this family make any money?  They destroy everything.  Newsday, The Wiz, The Knicks, MSG Television, Clearview Cinemas, Voom Sattelite TV.  One of the worst corporations in America- yet somehow, they're making billions.  Go figure.
