Hi All,
Looking for a mom & pop place in Chattanooga for Monday morning before heading back home. Thanks, Charlie.

My personal favorite is Bluegrass Grill, 55 W. Main St., but they are closed Mondays.

Scrumptiouschef and I both recommend the Innside Restaurant, 800 Cherry St., 423-266-7687

Many locals swear by City Café Diner, 901 Carter St., 423-634-9191, and I'm certain they are open on Memorial Day.  They never close.

To the dismay of many roadfooders, many mom & pop places here are known for closing on holidays.

If you are driving back to CT, I assume you will be doing I-75 for a while.  My favorite is the Golden Girls on I-75 at the Clinton Norris exit.  It has been there for a number of years and in a huge log cabin.  It is not a chain and they have a great breakfast and pie.  I am taking Poverty Pete there next Wednesday where he will be in Knoxville driving for Dolly Parton.

It is just a couple of blocks off the exit.  About 15 miles north of Knoxville on I-75

MellowRoast, City Cafe Diner, sounds like a winner to me. I will try it. Wait, maybe I try Innside Restaurant. Damn it, hard choice!................(smiles)
