Christmas. And the two months following it. After that I can't take another piece.

We've still got some bourbon balls. They're a little dry. Any takers?

I was giving this matter some serious thought when it occurred to me . . . Is there a non-candy time of year?

For me it's Christmas because that is when each year a dear friend sends me a custom box off See's Candies filled with only my two See's favorites -- P-nut crunch and California brittle.

My favorite time of year for candy is easter, I love jelly beans ( I know they are available year round now), I also love the cadbury cream eggs, in dark chocolate.

Gee it's hard to pick just one.

Love Christmas because of all the bourbon balls & brittle that's given out.

I also really enjoy Easter as that's when I can find bags of the black jellybeans & boxes of the chocolate covered marshmallow eggs. One of my all time favorites.

Oh so hard to choose! *laughs* For candy, though, I think I have to go with Easter. Need to qualify that, though, as the Easter of my childhood. My Grandmother would send us chocolate "eggs" with the coconut cream filling, from a real, home-made candy shoppe, the kind that had our name written on it. I loved the black jelly beans too; Easter was the only time of year you'd really find jelly beans back then. And the chocolate-covered marshmallow eggs, along with the malted milk robin's eggs. And, of course, Peeps. [:P]

Don't get me wrong - Halloween is a very close second. And Christmas, but at Christmas time it is more sweets in general rather than candy. LOL Guess those easter-time candies nudge the other holiday candies out, at least for me.

Look at me, I didn't even mention my favorite time.....

Easter brings the freshist jelly beans, and I eat them with a passion.

But my favorite candy time is Christmas... The diffreant chocolate and nut candies are the best. Also the box assortments can't be beat.

A close second is Halloween, it seems everybody comes out with diffrent ways of selling thier candy at this time of the year.

Pretty much any time of the year is candy time for me. I'm not a huge fan of the mass marketed mediocrity that gets peddled about especially at Christmas and Easter (particularly Palmer Candies). I've always felt that they were a few rungs below Nestle on the candy ladder. Always tasted stale, watered down and smelled of elderberries. Sorry, I couldn't resist a Python reference.

There are only 2 times of the year that I prefer to eat GOOD candy- that would be anything that is not your typical run of the mill, grocery store candy- those times would be day and night!

And the worst of the worst is the no-name stuff called...'chocolaty'. There must be people out there in a holiday feeding frenzy that indiscriminately grab stuff off the store shelves, that's the only reason I can imagine this stuff exists.

I think that anytime there is Oxygen, Hydrogen and an Ozone layer present in the Earth's atmosphere is reason enough for indulgence in a celebratory sweet treat or two...........

For me Christmas is more about cookies. My vote would be for Halloween. For some reason I always have leftover candy that I have to eat myself. What a shame!
