I dont eat that much fast food.. But the ones I did find to be my favorite where Hot-n-Now fries (place is long gone around here).. Worst ones are McD's... Swear they own intrest in the salt mines for as much salt as they use...

ASk for unsalted. That way you are guaranteed to get fresh hot ones, plus you can add how much salt you want

Penn Station is a chain but there aren't many, mainly on the East Coast and growing.

ALso Chic-Fil-A, anyone like their waffle fries?

We have a couple of Penn Station stores on our side of the river in the Louisville area. For those not familiar with the chain, it is an "East Coast-Style" (their descriptor) Sandwich/Sub shop. I would label it another "Quiznos" sort of place. I have never tried their fries.

I love In n Out Burgers, and the FF are ok for about 2 minutes after you get them. They are the very thin cut shoestring type of fries that cool off very quickly and then go limp .

Rally's has a good seasoned FF. Popeyes are usually very good too.

                      Mmmm...fries.

McDonald's fries are undoubtedly the best unseasoned fry. Wendy's are OK. Burger King's don't even make the radar (although I do like their onion rings). Arby's and Popeye's have good seasoned fries.

Do any of the above-listed places take any special pride in their fries?

Do any of them use freshly-cut potatoes?

                        Any new additions?

i like mcD's fries, but i ask for them unsalted-i have slightly high blood pressure and dont want to push it. that way they are also nice and fresh
five guys are good but i ask for them crisp-the first time i had them they were underdone and i was disappointed

for me, wendy's fries are underdone about 90% of the time, and burger kings just taste bad to me

ive got a local hot dog place by me that does the best fresh hand cut fries, so that's where i usually go

Well, they are not ALWAYS great, but I've liked the crinkle cut units at Church's Fried Chicken forever. Also, the chili fries at Wienerschnitzel can be OK.
chickinboy should check out the site for CHICKENBOY here in Los Angeles.

McDonalds taste the best, and I like DamnTheCowboys idea of asking for unsalted so you get them hot and fresh. Hot and fresh McD's fries with the right amount of salt....almost makes me want to go to McD's...almost lol.
