Hard to take the list too seriously when they leave out Nathan's at Coney Island.  And to some extent, even though I don't care for it, the Varsity, which I think sells more hot dogs than any other restaurant.

Not saying that Doug's shouldn't be on the list but the other 2 places not making the list at all makes the list suspect.

The only problem is that by the time you open the post to see that there is nothing but a link, you have already looked and have been bothered.

Plenty of foolishness there.  Unfortunately, for you, you do seem to worry about people like me.  Why do you only use your "trademark" on Littleman's threads and not on your other posts?

Best hot dog?

IMO, a Thumann's or Shickhaus natural casing frank with spicy mustard and kraut. Doesn't matter who is serving it.

The legendary fried rutt's hut dogs are Thumann's. (made specially for frying) The fried ones are good too, but I prefer my dogs dirty water or steamed. (gives you that characteristic *snap* when you bite them!)

The Sabrett natural casing dogs are also great.

I love Hummels.  I usually pick up a pack every time I drive through CT.

next we need , a national hot dog cook off held in New Jersey , all vendors,  all makers of fine dog's r welcome.......... i'm going to bounce this off a few people. this has to be, the  time has come , for the DOG'S to compete !!!
