I know there are some Cincy folks around here. Does anyone know what the best Mexican restaurants are in Cincy. Going there next weekend and would really like to find some good stuff. Mom and Pop place preferred. . . one that serves breakfast?! Thanks.

The best one we have found so far is Aculpoco's in Fairfield (north of cincy). It's good and not expensive. Don't know if i'd call it mom and pop but it seems to be family run.

Seconding the vote for Acapulco...and there's one in Milford also, btw. Not sure if it'd be considered authentic either by mexican food purists, but it is real tasty and real cheap. Very filling lunch specials with endless chips and salsa for under 4 bucks. I also like the one that I can never remember the name of in the lower part of the Newport Shopping Center in N. KY.

It's my family's favorite and I highly recommend it. I like it so much that I bought gift certificates as Christmas gifts for the guys that I work with. I don't know of any around here that serve breakfast. It might be a slow market starting out, but if they can come close to replicating what I had in Arlington, Texas a few years ago, word would spread quickly.

A little farther south of Jungle Jim's, where Rt 4 & By-pass 4 intersect, I recall an entire Mexican strip mall with a restaurant or two. I've not been to any of them, but wondering if any of you Cincy gurus have?

I can't remember the name of it, but on High Street, in Hamilton there is a wonderful little Mexican place. So authentic no one speaks English. If I recall properly it's right next to a Taco Bell. I've been there twice. it's frequented by a lot of Mexicans, tehy have tacos, quesdaillas, the biggest burritos I have ever seen, and all of it is very inexpensive. I just can't remember the name of it.
