I've been to a place in Mansfield, El Campesino, which is pretty decent but does anyone else know some good options? I'm desperate here.

El Rancho Grande has a handful of places in the Cin Day corridor. While I cant vouch for the menu items the fajitas I do recomend highly. The combo comes with a ton of tender rib eye strips, chicken breast and a handfull of nice sized shrimp. We order for to on there buy one get on special. For 10 bux theres enough left overs that I can get 3 decent meals out of it at home. From my Mexican experience in Denver I can sy that they have a lot of traditional dinners as well as the taco/relleno/enchillad and burrito selections. The fact that when we first went to the one in Middletown none of the waiters could speak a word of englis. That would make one think that the kicthen hadnt been "gring-fied"

La Michoacana Market 748 Troy St. Dayton, OH It's a grocery store, but inside is restaurant area. I love their tortas, but they have a pretty large menu with plenty of other stuff, too. Most of their customers are Latino. I highly recommend a tall, cold glass of horchata in the summer!

I love Taqueria Mercado. I can't get enough of those soft corn tortilla tacos. I also can't resist going to the bakery next door for those delicious sweets after dinner. :)

I was at Taqueria Mercado last night and it was excellent as usual. A trip to Jungle Jim's is not complete without a stop there. Taqueria Mixteca in Dayton might be better on third ave. I have found one in Columbus called The Seven Regions off West Broad that is great as well...Russ

A bunch of guys at where I work really like Taco Loco. The one guy is originally from San Antonio and he has eaten at every Mexican joint in Dayton and has pronounced that Taco Loco has the closest approximation to San Antonio tacos of his past. He also says that Taqueria Mixteca off Third is a very close second. Taco Loco 5392 Burkhardt Rd Dayton, OH 45431-2110

El Pueblo, north east of Cincy in Blue Ash on Hunt Road just off Reed Hartman Highway. Lunch is a total addiction and habit for us on Saturdays. Their Enchiladas Verdes is always fresh, amazingly delish tomatillos taste fresh from the garden, filled with stewed chicken, bursting with flavor. The pork carnitas lunch is my husband's favorite. And if you shop at the Blue Ash Kroger, check the back of your receipt for coupons! Oh, and their guacamole is almost as good as mine according to my family.

For the pilgrimages to Jungle Jims, try Cancun at the plaza just north of Kemper on Hamilton Avenue. Their guac is pretty tasty, and try the beef (real not hamburger) chimi. Carne Asada tacos - yum!
