Have you tried H.E.B. brand hot dogs? I bought some all beef ones that are pretty good.Where in Texas are you? In the Houston area, supermarkets might also carry in the deli section Boarshead hot dogs and Usinger's from Milwaukee.Usinger's has been around for i think 100 years or more.

You can always call up Vienna Beef and ask them if they have a distribution house down there. I believe that they do as my friend from college freaked out and called me cause she could have her hot dogs in Houston. She's the one that began my Vienna Beef obsession.

Even though it is maybe a little funny, most cowboys that I know would kick your ass for saying that. And weenie girl, I agree with them too that they are too tough but I promise I dont want to get into another vienna thing with you or anyone else.

I haven't seen the flick and don't plan to, however it is my understanding that those boys were sheep hearders not cowboys. Major difference just ask any cowboy.

Man, make one comment about cowboys anymore and people go off! I wonder how the Dallas Cowboys are ever going to be looked at the same. Anyway, my comment was more along the line of the "stereotypical" cowboy who is tough and used to chew on beef jerkey sticks. But apparently that point is lost now.

If I was in southeastern Texas, I'd sell cajun food: crawfish etouffee with dirty rice or shrimps and rice. CSD

I get people stopping by that sell the best mexican food you have ever tasted out of the trunk of the car. They keep it warm in coolers. It kind of ticks me off because I keep up with my permits and inspections but if you had ever tasted that "trunk food" you cant say no.

Ohman, give it a try. If it works, you'll immediately be on the cutting edge, especially if you're the only game in town. Good luck! CSD

ohman, with your severe hate of Vienna it makes me curious as to if you work for someone else...... hahah! sorry, you all point the finger at me all the time, my turn to do the same back. I don't go off when you say Vienna sucks, I just feel badly for your intestines because of what is in SOME other brands of hot dogs. (Not all, but SOME)

Ohman Did you ever make it over to Windy City Grill just a few miles NE of your stand? Rob sells a ton of Vienna Dogs and polish sausage sandwiches. I will admit his customer base includes a good number of Chicago Ex Pats. You might want to go talk with he's a great guy. Windy City Grill 2041 Rufe Snow Dr. Ste 203 Keller Tx 817-281-1400

I dont really hate them, its just that there are so many others just as good and better but all you hear on this board is vienna and I think most of the users are sick of hearing the "v" word. I know I am.
