Long gone now is the Juicy Pig Restaurant in Sherman, TX. Actually it was a diner but the name should be reused for a BBQ joint.

I have always thought that if you are going to open a business that is worth anything, you should put your name on it. BBQ examples are:

          Arthur Bryant
          Sonny Bryan
          Charlie Vergous
          Louis Mueller

          You get the idea.

Some want their name on their restaurants, but they shorten it to retain anonymity as in:

MR. V'S BBQ in Denison, Texas

            Mr. Cecil's in Los Angeles

or the long, gone and awfully missed...

Stern's BBQ in Culver City, CA

Interestingly enough, Mr. V's is known as "Home of the brown gravy". I haven't tried this on bbq yet, but it's on the to-do list. Hummm...why wait, gotta go!
