A Filet - Go to Primehouse - 381 Park Ave S
Primehouse is part of the BR Guest "family" of restaurants, along with such others as Ruby Foo's & Wildwood BBQ (cringe at Wildwood BBQ).
I did not have a filet at Primehouse, when I dined there. So, I cannot attest to the rating. I am in no hurry to return to Primehouse (based on my overall dining experience), so I will have to miss out on the proposition of finding out for myself.
I enjoy Bobby Van's on West 50th, for an overall carnivorous dining experience. It is a "diciple" of Peter Luger's. It serves comparable high quality cuts, DELIGHTFUL Beef Wellington (imo) which is so very hard to find on restaurant menus these days, "easier" location (for me at least) no cranky attitudes from staff, beautiful atmosphere.
I would become a Vegan or a Nun (neither very likely at this point

), before I would return to Porter House (not Brandt's Brant chop is the cut, not the name of the restaurant) at 10 Columbus Circle Time Warner Center. I do not lose my temper at restaurants, but I lost my mind, at Porter House. From soup to NUTS, it was not pretty.
