B'fast suggestions along I-95 in NC?

I'm leaving DC at 3 am and will be wanting to stop between 7 am and 8 am, so I'm looking for breakfast places within 5 miles of the 1-95, somewhere between Rocky Mount and Fayetteville. Any thoughts????

Thanks!

    [;)
The best you can do off of I-95 as far as the interstate is concerned would be ANY "Cracker Barrel" They are clean, consistant & good for breakfast. Do try to sniff out a local place when you get to your destination for some good Ol' country ham, red eye gravy & grits for that down south feel...

I'm sure this is way too late, (I've been way too overloaded this month, haven't had time to lurk around anywhere.)
But....for future reference, try the Triangle Waffle off of exit 72 in Dunn.

Yes. slightly alter your north-south route and go here:

I did thevery same thing one morning this spring and also reside in the DC area. The place starts serving their Q at 9:00 am. What's not to like?
