Biting the inside of your mouth

Short of a real illness, or breaking a bone, biting your cheek, tongue or lip while chewing, is a 10 on the PITA scale. Figure a 3 day heal, which stretches far longer as one is apt to rebite the same spot about 1 1/2 days into recovery. A chomp that draws serious blood is the worst as it will swell and become a bullseye for overactive teeth. I am bedeviled with this, anyone else experience this frequent torment of mine? Any secret hurry up cures?

Rinse regularly with bourbon ...

 Funny that you should start this thread as it jus happened an hour ago to me. I usually bite myself in the same place. Lower lip,near the corner. It swells up and then I do it again. Takes a few days to heal. I don't know of any way to speed healing except the remedy given in the earlier post.

Biting ones tongue, mouth, lip or etcetera is dumb, so don't do it. 
 
If you want something to bite go to Chubby's in Maryland he has lots of good things to chew on.  As a matter of fact the bossman is an expert on chewing the fat.  One of the top men in that field.

That happens to me at least a couple of times a month!  I haven't found anything that speeds the healing, but it does help to hold an ice cube on it until you can't stand it or it melts, whichever comes first.

I seem to bite my cheek only when I chew gum and talk at the same time.Therefore, I no longer do both.I especially hate when I scrape the roof of my mouth while eating a Tootsie Pop that has a crack in it!

In th category of food related self inflicted wounds, I nominate the brain freeze. I do that one way too often. Ice cream to frozen margarhitas, it doesn't matter. If it is icey, I will get a brain freeze.

I'll second the pizza palate burn - last time that happened to me, it was soo painful, and seemed to take forever to heal.

the female women of the opposite sex.  Man, like I wood never ever have bee-leaved it.  No tellin bout taste I guess.  Now you take me for instance---well that's a long story and we ain't got time.  Later. gator.

I bite my tongue in my sleep once in a while - never drew blood but it hurts god-awful.

I do it too. I use a strong salt solution to gargle with for all mouth wounds, it really speeds up the healing process.
