You've been sheltered down there in God's Country too long. The comment Goldie received is the standard warning by school girls to adults at the school where I had my previous teaching assignment in SoCal. The term can be used as the universal Proper Noun when the speaker does not know your actual name...Or even as the Universal Adjective to help identify what kind of butter she/he would like passed at the holiday dinner table.
