Blake Edwards passes away

Writer/producer/director Blake Edwards has died at the age of 88. I loved the Peter Sellers "Pink Panther" movies and lately I've been watching "Peter Gunn" on RTV. Brad

The drunken Viking funeral in SOB still makes me laugh every time I see it! I'll miss his talents.

I love the line in one of the Pink Panther movies where Peter Sellers is holding a small dog and a woman askes him,"does your dog bite?" and he says no, my dog does not bite, she goes to pet the dog and gets nipped, she says "Ithought you said your dog does not bite" he replies, "this is not my dog".....I left out the french accents!

As I remember it he's checking into a Swiss hotel, the dog doesn't belong to the innkeeper, and he (Clouseau) gets bitten... EDIT: YouTube to the rescue! Brad

CTF----eroded memories are the best----we erode out the bad ones and re-enforce the good ones. No sense looking back at bad things, going through them once is enough. Joe ---after a night up with Clouseau you will be stumbling and fumbling all the next day. Better call in sick, you could make some bad mistakes like eating Chewy's peanut butter soup. Sticks to your palate-----eats right through your tie..

Ancient One, Homeland Security has contacted me about using it on detainees to make them talk, instead of waterboarding, they are going to call it peanut souping, scary stuff!

Edwards was certainly capable of hard-hitting drama, but I think it's nice to be remembered for things like this scene from "The Party": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT75Uce6pqc I'd heard Jack Lemmon said he was remembered by many fans as Professor Fate, and I think that's pretty cool too.

I like all Blake Edwards movies, but especially like "That's Life" from 1986. This was a semi-autobiographical movie with Julie Andrews & Jack Lemmon playing the Blake Edwards part. both Julie Andrew's daughter & Jack Lemmon's son were in the movie. Not a perfect movie, but I liked it.
