Blenheim factory direct ordering

Just to clarify upfront, I write the blog for Blenheim...it's not a high paying gig, i just do it cause i love it....and trust me they don't need the business, they sell all they can make...just putting it out there for the Blenheim lovers...i know Blenheim is a favorite of foodies throughout the country and it's very difficult to find outside the Carolinas..... so you can now order it direct from the factory in cases for $24...a buck a bottle plus shipping.. and we have a few good recipes and such on the blog if anyone is interested in checking them out... ideas and personal stories are always welcomed.... thanks randy

Wow somebody really got offended by your post! lol! I hope they can sleep tonight! BTW, doesn't the shipping cost overshadow the price of the product?

Yeah, don't know how this can be considered spam when he was upfront about his connection to the product. Personally, I never had heard of Bienheim and now am more interested because of the post. Would much rather have someone be upfront about their affiliation than to have them post as if they have none.

It seems to be kind of difficult to find inside the Carolinas as well. Do y'all have any distribution in Asheville / WNC?

I used to order from the factory or somehow online but that choice was removed years back (before I even joined Roadfood I believe). I'd love to be able to order their sugar free ginger ale again; I've never found anything even close to it. For those who have never tried it, it sure packs a wallop. The regular version is the hottest ginger ale (or sharpest, to be kind) I've tasted, I can't imagine how sharp the extra version is. rs303909, any contact information or webpage info you can post would be most appreciated. "pm" me if necessary Mods, can you remove that silly "SPAM" tag?

yeh..sorry to anyone who thinks posting this as a service to ginger ale lovers is spam..like i said...they sale all they make so i cant see how they need any more customers...they cant keep up with demand now...i put it up for ginger ale ppl...not Blenheim Bottlers, they pay me to write a drink blog once a month, not market or SEO...cause they don't wanna see that bill i guarantee you.... @heartbreaksoup....Mast General Store up that way carries it...Valle Crucis maybe? there is a store locator on the website... @jeepguy...i dont think the shipping is all that much...obviously the further away from SC the more it is..but a lady from SF ordered 4 cases the first day and it was around $30 for the whole thing i think....im not too sure, i work virtually so im only around the Border every couple months to pick up my payment in ginger ale ;)

I bought a six pack of Bleinheim's for "The Mayor" a year or so ago at "The Mast General Store" in Knoxville. I tried some myself and it was definately hot and spicy. I am not sure what "The Mayor" thought as he never reported back on it. I had never tried ginger ale much before but I thought it was very good. http://www.maststoreonline.com/store_locations.cfm Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

I thought I gave some feedback here, but in case I forgot... I like the Bleinheim Ginger Ale. It has a bit of a bite to it, but I think the RED ROCK Ginger Ale, made in Atlanta, has even more. it really 'burns' going down !! The Red Rock is available at some of the specialty stores in Louisville, but it runs about $2 for a 12 oz bottle.

This is great news, and I appreciate the notice. I tried Blenheim based on a recommendation from a friend in Birmingham, Ala. We were able to buy it at the Fresh Market on Hilton Head., but it isn't available (to my knowledge) in Minnesota. I also like Buffalo Rock ginger ale.

My wife and I ordered several kinds of Bleinheim Ginger Ale years ago. I did not find it to be remarkable. I learned to drink ginger beer with Schwepps; I don't think they make it anymore. In college, I used to drink Old Tyme Ginger Beer; I LOVED the look on people's faces when they had a sip (even after I warned them). Goya used to use real sugar in the small bottle, HFCS in the large; now everything is HFCS (I have had blood sugar problems in the past, controlled by diet and exercise, so I just don't take chances with HFCS, which, at least in rats, sends mixed signals to the absorption system). In Jamaican neighborhoods, you can often buy homemade ginger beer, which is usually non-carbonated and has a bit of lemon added. Bart

I bought two bottles at the Mast General Store in Asheville - they don't make them easy to find, but there's a drinks cooler right at the back of the store, behind another display. It's not at all bad. I bought two bottles with the red cap. I'm not sure what the differences are; there isn't anything printed anywhere to distinguish them from the bottles with the yellow cap, but I assumed red for spicy and yellow for mild. Honestly, while it's not a patch on the mighty Buffalo Rock, I think that it's better than many brands of ginger ale that I've tried. I like it a lot better than Vernor's, which bored me after the novelty wore off halfway through the 12-pack. Consider me converted!
