Boar's Head Onion Relish

Several RF-ers have in the past raved about Boar's Head products. Based on QFan's own taste buds, I heartily agree. Fortunately, we here in FL have the Publix chain which carries virtually the entire Boar's Head line in their delis (with which they also make excellent subs), along w/ various other Boar's Head go-withs like prepackaged meats, condiments, etc.
I have just discovered a new Boar's Head item (new for QFan anyway) which is their Sweet Vidalia Onion Relish. Simply SCRUMPTIOUS!!! So far I have had it on plain dog (Hebrew National Kosher Beef), keilbasa and bratwurst. All I can say is that it raised the taste rating for all sausages several inches on my own personal "richter scale." I still like raw onions, pickle relish, chili and other goodies in my wurst repetoire, but I would strongly recommend all RF-ers give this "new" treat a try. You won't be sorry!

Would you have it on a dog with chili, or too much?

Likely too much. The BH relish has a kind of tomato-y relish sort of flavor.I don't think the flavor profile would complement chili very well. Probably best w/ a mustard variety of your choice.

The Boar's Head Onion sauce, while tasting somewhat different, is nonetheless in the same genre of hot dog condiment as the famous Sabrett Onion topping. Several companies have their variation, including Victoria. I like 'em.

I use the Boar's Head products a lot, but ever since moving up here to Georgia, for all types of relishes, I've started buying the Braswell brand. The sweet pepper relish is my choice for dogs and meat loaf sandwiches. pb

Boar's Head onions are a little larger and thicker than Sabrett. Boar's Head and Victoria also have more onions than sauce!

There is a farm market named Adam's Fairacre Farms located in Poughkeepsie, Newburgh and Kingston, New York. They offer a number of Boar's Head products not usually found at a regular deli. I'm talking about jelly, mustards, bbq sauces and more.

I'm confused. The caption does not match the image of the first onion sauce listed.
