Bob Evans Farms is the PARENT COMPANY, not the manufacturer. However, 'twas MY error in prior post.

    Our Company/Our Brands

As I said, Bob Evans bought Owens in 1987. Owens is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bob Evans.

    From Company history at: http://www.bobevans.com/

    Our Family Tree
In 1987, Bob Evans Farms added to the family through the acquisition of Owens Country Sausage, based in Richardson, Texas. Today Owens Country Sausage is distributed throughout 10 southwestern states.

Another victory by Michael Hoffman, King of Google. It's easy to Google up some information to try to look like a master of fact. YOU DA MAN, MIKE! Maybe your sausage could rot, like other people's tongues.

Not Google, lad. I'm a stockholder, and a friend of Bob and Jewel Evans.

I never knew Wilson, but I went to first grade at Orange Center School with Calvin Coolidge's granddaughter.

Also, the reason that no one could find a link to Bob Evans smoked sausage is because it is made by Owens (also the OWNER of the Bob Evans restaurant and brands).

Actually, Kroger sells Bob Evans Smoked Sausage in the cold meat section. It doesn't say Owens on it.

True eno re: Krogers, but if Owens wraps the sausage in Bob Evans packaging, Adjudicator's statement is still true

I really doubt, for example, that everything labeled with a Krogers Brand (Cost Cutter, Big K, whatever) is actually made in a Krogers owned facility - more likely Krogers contracts with other firms to put the Kroger label on a product to ship to and sell at Krogers

If you go to the Bob Evans Website, it even says that Bob Evans acquired Owens in 1987, not the other way around. I guess the smoked sausage could still be produced in an Owens plant. I doubt that, though.
