Anyone familiar with the Bob Evans restaurant chain owned by the man famous for his sausage farm based in Ohio?

LOL. I know this is not a joke, but you said it in such a ironic/sarcastic way. I also know of a once very famuos singer who is known for his popular sausage farm. His are way better though. I haven't been to a Bob Evans in years though, so I don't know what they're like now.

Hello All, We have a Bob Evans in Harrisonburg, Va.. My mother and oldest brother really enjoy it. I've taken Mom there 4 times and it has been pleasant. The food was not special, but the service, atmosphere, and company I was keeping made it an enjoyable experience. Take Care, Fieldthistle

Pretty good biscuits & gravy, like their homefries as well.

Bob Evans has a pretty good breakfast menu. You can always count on a 1/2 hour wait on a weekend morning for breakfast. I only ate there for dinner once, however, and was unimpressed.

I like Bob Evans very much, altho it isn't as good as it used to be (but then again, what is?). They are one of the better chain restaurants IMO. I miss their smoked breakfast sausage that they used to serve but discontinued several years ago. Their dinner menu has some very good things, as well as some not so good items, but they recently underwent a large expansion of items served for dinner. Hard to imagine that they do enough business in the evening to support serving such a large list of food items from their expanded menu. Definitely worth a try, especially for breakfast.
