Bolivar Pie

Four years ago, while living in Jackson,Tn, I was meandering the back roads and ended up in Bolivar. Never having been there before,I stopped at a hambuger-dairy dip kinda place. Lunch consisted of a cheeseburger, onion rings and a coke. I saw that they had sweet potato pie and I asked the waitress if it was good. She just smiled knowingly and said uh huh. Best pie I think I ever had. The crust, the filling. I can't describe it. I hope it wasn't a fluke. Point of this post is, I can't remember the name of the place. I think it starts with a D and it is located on the main strip through Bolivar. Can anyone help? Oh, the burger and rings were good too, just not as good as the pie.

Leslie, it's been a few years since I was in Bolivar. As I recall the town was small enough that you'd have no trouble finding it again. I'm waiting for Sundancer to mention Hays Smokehouse in Lexington since we're talking about SE Tennessee. carl reitz

According to the internet Yellow Pages, besides Dossie's Grill, the other "Ds" are DJ Sunrise Country Kitchen at 318 E. Market St. and Dot's Country Kitchen at 15430 Highway 64

I think Dossie's must be it! I looked at a map and I'm almost 99% sure. Thanks guys, didn't mean for you to have to do the research for me. LOL
