My brother-in-law finished 3082. That's the 85th percentile (meaning he was ahead of 85% of the field) overall, 78th percentile for men, and 88th percentile for his age group (40-49)
he averaged 7:34 a mile.
Considering the weather, I think he ran a smoking race!

anybody else got family running?

I had a friend running on the Dana Farber Cancer team, he raised over $10,000! He called me last night and was elated, his time was 4 hrs 36 min and he felt good, the weather did not bother him too much. He was 2402 in the 50 and over group, 11: something a mile

I went to the before pasta party with him for Dana Farber, what an amazing group of people. over 1200 were there- 500 runners and their families plus patients they were running for. It was an unforgettable experience.

It's too bad the weather was so bad. It was reported on this mornings news that local business suffered a big loss. Plus there is a new starting time and a different format. They should go back to the way it use to be run.
No road closeings no police details and start at high noon.
This should be of interest of his Honor. A freight train once crossed the route while the race was being held. Only a handfull of the leaders managed to get by and the rest of the field had to wait it out.
Many of the runners now wear NASA approved diapers. This was brought about because of a winner one year {not so distance past} had an accident along the route. It was worth a laugh to watch the Mayor of the City of Boston give her a hug at the finish line. Chow Jim
