Brad_Olson danimal15 Eventually, I'd like to buy an old Mustang convertible myself. Maybe a 67, or a 72. Did you consider doing that and keeping the Prius as your daily driver instead of buying a new Mustang? Or would that've been impractical based on your family, location, and driving habits? Brad I did consider that for years, but decided since I'm not very handy, it would be best to have something new. My wife also wasn't crazy about the idea of me buying a vintage car, as she was worried it would break down and I'd get frustrated trying to fix it. I do still think of it, and haven't decided for sure if I'll ever buy an old one. I love the idea of a Mustang vert, but maybe I'll eventually buy a newer, post-2005 Mustang convertible with a V6 and an auto trans just to tool around in. Plus, my wife could drive it (she doesn't drive manual, so she can't drive my GT).

I have driven one and loved it. My buddy also has a 2010 Camarro SS which is also very nice. I am kinda on the fence on which one I prefer, I am Ford loyal but that is for trucks... Gonna have to drive a Challenger to try em all.

I don't know for sure about your area, but around here there are a few outfits that restore Mustangs and sell them. I'd guess there would be some in the Chicago region. EDIT: I should have checked first. http://www.mustangrestoration.net/
