Brand names you would purchase over others.

Tonight's dinner:

See a trend?

Anyway, besides the delicious oven baked ribs were B & M Original Baked Beans.  I can't get them here anymore.  Used to have them as a kid.  They are my all time favorite and I would pay the price if they were.  (It's still too cold outside for me to tend the Green Egg)

I picked up a couple of jars in Texas when I saw them.  My memory served me right.  I should have purchased a case!

I also used to love the B & M Brown Bread in a can.  Can't find that anymore, either.  I don't know of any other companies that make that one.

I always buy Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.  No need to try one by anyone else.

My peppers are Mezzeti's.

Only Campbell's tomato soup, Philadelphia cream cheese, Jif peanut butter, Aunt Nellie's pickled red cabbage, Reber butter beans, Vernor's ginger ale, and Totino's pizza rolls. There may be others, but those leapt to mind. I've tried other brands of all of those things, and none of them are as good.

Pretty much everything else I'm open to trying a different brand. I learned a few years ago at a grocery outlet store in California that most  of those off brands you've never heard of are someone else's local brand they swear by...absolutely no one was touching any of the Meijer brand anything, but my best friend (who moved from here to there) was in seventh heaven stocking up.

Philadelphia cream cheese, Jif peanut butter, Aunt Nellie's pickled red beets for sure!

I always buy Jolly Green Giant corn niblets.

Now that I can find Chris 'n Pitts Original BBQ Sauce at The 99¢  Only Store that's my brand of choice.

That was my mom's brand of choice, too.  Since everybody else at home hates baked beans I rarely buy them so I couldn't tell you if B&M's still available here or not.

When I buy pepperoncinis I usually get Mezzetta.

These are the only 3 I am 100% loyal to. Don't worry my darlings, I will never stray.

    Grandma Brown's Baked Beans
    Hofmann hot dogs
    Lea & Perrins Worcestershire
    Campbell's soups
I rarely drink soda (usually unless there's whiskey/bourbon in it), so it has to be Coke, Cherry Coke, Dr. Pepper, or Vernor's (when I can find it - one store in the area carries it, and it disappears quickly).

totillie, thank you!  I will check my Ralph's.  I can stand on my corner and see two different Ralph's... both Fresh Fare.  Or my next trip your way I'll make a Ralph's stop.  Thanks!

Only Lea and Perrins for me in fact that's what we called it growing up.

We had Blue Bell ice cream in Texas.  Dryer's Rocky Road tastes better to me.

Marlene, B&M is still made in Portland, Maine and currently owned by B&G foods of New Jersey. I don't know about the west coast, but in the past 20 years Bush Bros. of Knoxville, TN has made major inroads here into the canned baked beans business, pushing other brands off the shelf.

We have the same problem with west coast producer Mezzeti's here. Not all chains carry their product and of the ones who carry their products they don't carry the full line. So, you may be buying peppers from the two chains on the other side of town from you.

I think I buy Heinz Vinegar.  Do they make vinegar?  I buy the same name brand every single time as if it makes a difference if I would buy the store brand.

I buy Best Foods Mayonnaise but I'm occasionally gifted with Dukes.  Best Foods is Hellman's west coast.

Be careful when you buy Heinz Vinegar.  Many stores carry Heinz Apple Cider Flavored Distilled Vinegar.  The small bottles are usually ACV, but the gallons are often AC flavored.

I have found that Kroger Brand ACV is very good.  It continues to grow Mother

Chewingthefat - LAYS??? Blasphemy?  they've got to be the worst chips out there, don't know if it's the sunflower oil or what.  Glad you mentioned Utz, but can't believe you'd like both Utz and Lays they like polar opposites.  And you're real close to Utz too!

    As for me:
Utz Chips, will do Herr's in a pinch
    Coca-Cola, NEVER Pepsi
Mello-Yello over Mt. Dew any day
Deitz & Watson deli meats, never cheap meats that 99% of delis serve, will also do Boars' Head or Thumanns - can't believe how many places serve garbage meats,  cheap meats no matter piled how high does not equal a good sub!
    Skippy Peanut Butter
    Simply Orange juice
Entemann's cakes  (never Tastykake as they've gotten so flavorless and nasty, miss the old days)
Can't believe people would like Campbell's soup, it's not been good for at least 10 years, or whenever they discontinued Chicken Gumbo and started adding eggwhites to Minestrone & Vegetarian Vegetable
Lender's frozen bagels if can't get good fresh (everything else is just a roll with a hole in it)
    A-1 never generic, no comparison
Frosted Pop-Tarts  (just never ever ever EVER strawberry  or ones with chocolate in it)  Cherry is of course the best.  Never unfrosted or generic!
Classico Spaghetti sauce, never Ragu  - but I love Ragu Homemade pizza sauce
    Martha Washington pizza dough mix
Ortega White Corn taco shells & medium taco sauce
Tostitos never Herr's, but I like Herr's Salsa.
Hanover Premium frozen veggies, NEVER EVER CANNED!
If I had to pick between Wonder and Sunbeam, no question Wonder, Sunbeam goes stale 10 seconds after open bag.  Though I always buy Miers Italian
