You know, I am getting really, REALLY tired of hearing about Roadfood places closing.....

I was in SW Ohio over the weekend and this morning I pulled up outside the Breakfast Club in Dayton. Here is what the sign on the front door said:

We regret to inform you that this unit will be closed effective March 29th.

We sincerely appreciate your business throughout the years. It is impossible to operate profitably in an environment that has so few willing employees.

Thank you for all the years of support. You will be dearly missed!!

P.S. If we can reopen...we will.

So I guess there is hope that it will reopen again in the future, but for now the Breakfast Club is closed.

By the way, I thought I saw another place outside Lebanon, Ohio named the Breakfast Club. Is this a chain?

There is an old saying, "Good cheap help is hard to find."

Too bad, the food and place looked pretty good.

This was a great place. I am really bummed about this.

        mr chips-
You should have seen my face while I was reading the notice. My girlfriend said I looked like I was going to cry. I had promised her a great breakfast, even showing her the pics of the potato pancakes the night before.

Instead, we ended up going to Clifton Mill, which has great atmosphere, but certainly can't match the Breakfast Club for food.

It's re-opened as the Brunch Club... haven't been, though.

Thanks for the info and I am intrigued, although The Brunch Club doesn't have the same Roadfood ring to it that The Breakfast Club did. If you eat there, please let us know how it was.

According to the Breakfast Club website, the store in Dayton was closed. However the Lebannon, OH store remains open, and from the online menu seems to be an ideal breakfast stop.

I know the place you mean comining into Lebanon right offf 63. It had a different name but was darn near a clone. We went in and saw alacarte oletese for 8 bux with burgers the same and walked out.

AFAIK, the Lebanon Breakfast Club was a companion business to the location on South Patterson Blvd in Dayton.

We're local and we eat there a lot. The Lebanon location is a very reliable and nice place to eat and they are in no danger of closing, judging from the traffic that they get.  They are open until 3 daily. They have no particular specials, but they make lots of omelets, pancakes, waffles, hash browns, and other breakfast staples, as well as many kinds of sammiches. It's the best roadfoodish place in town for breakfast.

We've never had poor service there (and I am very picky about service.)
