Breakfast Tacos a regional favorite

Today kiddies for breakfast we had barbacoa tacos here at work. Barbacoa is beef cheek meat from the head of the cow that has been slow cooked until very tender. We bought it from Culebra's restaraunt and it came with corn tortillas and green tomatillo hot sauce. It was very delicious. Sometimes we also buy from there or other places other kinds of breakfast tacos. You can get potato and egg, bacon and egg, chorizo(mexican sausage) and egg, bean and cheese, carne guisada,(beef steww without the veggies)brisket, and other stuff all wrapped in soft flour tortillas. So what regional favorites are popular in your area?

Nothing regionl here sells breakfast tacos (though I wish). The only thing (and not even close) is that our Sonic's sell a breakfast burrito(uck!). Lucky you.

SassyGritsAl,they aren't hard to make if you want to make some at home.Haven't tried any breakfast stuff at the Sonic here . What part of the country are you in?Every part of the country has something different. One thing I don't like is grits. They serve those alot in the South. Though I do like cornmeal mush, which I can't find here.

HollyDolly, I'm from Huntsville, AL. Yes, I do love grits. I eat them every morning for breakfast. I go through the driv-thru at Krystal and get an order of grits for $.60 and that includes tax. They are great - very creamy and swimming in butter (I know, I know). I use to live in Harlingen, TX (many moons ago), and remember it was a treat for us to go out and get tacos. I remember getting them at an A&W place and now whenever I have tacos, I have to have a cold root beer.
