Breakfast buffet ...

This weekend we stayed at a Marriott in Central New Jersey that had a free breeakfast buffet. It was good standard fare, except for a second table set up in the corner that was filled with Korean foods - noodles, rice, kimchee, rice/fish flavoring. A few guests were Korean and took this food instead. They also had Korean newspapers available. I think there is a Korean church nearby (guests were also East Indian, Muslim and "caucasian")and I'm not sure what this was all about. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else ever saw "ethnic" food at a breakfast bar in a hotel/motel?

Once. At the Airport Hilton at Rome, Italy. Amazingly diverse ethnic food. In addition to American/British-type stuff (eggs, potatoes, grilled tomatoes, sausages/bacon, there were Asian and Indian foods, plus a variety of cooked vegetable dishes that I couldn't identify. Also, a huge selection of sliced cold cuts that were Italian and German. All kinds of fruits. Pastries were excellent and varied. The best part was that the breakfast was included in the room rate!
