Breakfast in Ft. Lauderdale

Hi all,
We will be in Ft Lauderdale this Friday.  Leaving out on a cruise at noon.  Just found out our hotel no longer has a breakfast buffet. 
Please send any breakfast suggestions.  We will have to use a taxi as there are no restaurants in walking distance.  So we can go anywhere within in Fl Lauderdale.
Also, we will be having dinner on Thursday night at the Ft Lauderdale Yacht Club.  Not my first choice, but friends we are traveling with have arranged for the dinner.
Does anyone have any information on the Yacht Club for dinner?

Very good pancakes, and it's just off US-1 just south of the airport, and not far from the port.
