A couple of places 'straddle' the possible route between O-Boro and Bloomington.
1. A stop at the
Casino Spa in French Lick would dazzle and amaze you for the opulence of the refurbished Spa center there. The breakfast service is unknown to me, but the Lunch Buffet was very nice.
2. A route further West thru Washington or Montgomery, IN would allow a stop at either the
Black Buggy or the
Gasthaus Village, with the Gasthaus getting my vote two or three times over the rather run-down Black Buggy.
Check the hours of operation on all three of these places but one of them would serve well in a rather sparse area of rural Indiana.

For me, I would arrive at the Gasthaus Village right at 11 AM and enjoy a very good buffet lunch. Their Pie cabinent is locally famous ! But that's because I am not much on early morning eating.
Good Lunch and Welcome to So Indiana.
