Everyone is different. Myself, for example, I eat breakfast maybe twice a year.
Normally I can't eat anything before 10 or 11 AM. usually it's a fruit of some sort.

    Works fine for me.

During the week its heated frozen blueberrys or raspberries with a little sugar added to plain cold yogurt with granola. If I go out to breakfast on the weekend anything goes. Favorite would be a Chicken Fried Steak if done right 2nd Corned Beef Hash 3rd Mushroom Omelette. All of which could be served with HashBrowns and Jalapeno Peppers and Cheese. I love to cook breakfast as well even for Dinner.
I would like to know what others like. 1st 2nd 3rd....Russ

Joe, they do eat that for breakfast in Hawaho. Any recipes yall?

Some forums have a deal where you need to have a few posts under ur belt before you can start a thread. I'm glad we don't have that here. These threads are great fun! :~)

The best breakfast I've ever eaten was at O'Rourke's Diner in Middletown.  http://www.roadfood.com/Restaurant/Review/118-118/orourkes  (I live 3 blocks from here!    )

I was all set to order a Chili omelet , when the waiter came over and read the specials to us.  "Pistachio scone bread pudding French toast! Brian took homemade Pistachio Scones and made them into bread pudding, then sliced it, and made that into French Toast.  It was served with Homemade Bananas O'Rourke (Foster), homemade clotted cream covered in homemade caramel sauce, a slice each of pineapple, orange, watermelon, kiwi, and a strawberry.

Granted, the breakfast, coffee, and tip came to $20.... but it was worthy of every penny that I spent.

Generally speaking, I stick with some kind of eggs breakfast when I'm out to eat, but I'm very glad I strayed from my comfort zone that morning.

    Foodosaurus,

I'm not a big breakfast eater unless it's later in the day, but I'd be willing to leave my comfort zone as well for this meal.  It does sound like a winner.  I think it would be better than the free hotel breakfast I usually have when in CT (or anyplace else for that matter).  Thanks for letting us know about this meal.

I've been eating instant Quaker oatmeal every day for the past couple months, the low sugar pre-seasoned in the individual packets. It helps me with portion control; I was eating insane amounts of cold cereal every morning.

Plain hot oatmeal for me everyday but on Sundays we go to our favorite mom & pop and it's either their home made corned beef hash or one buckwheat pancake and a side of bacon. They have connections to a pig farmer and everything pork is wonderful.

Weekday mornings it's generally cold cereal for breakfast ( Cocoa Krispies! ), but on weekends I put my limited kitchen skills to work and treat myself to either sausage gravy n' biscuits or pancakes and bacon.

I think I know now what happened here. Note the broken English? This guy is probably a Chinese spammer. However, the URL's these spammers post for ED drugs, make money fast schemes, and Nigerian scams  are no longer are displayed in the message for new signups. Note he attempted to edit the message? It will take us a while to learn how to spot messages that are from spammers, with missing URL's.

ah well.. still a good topic... personally.. i've been eating fat free yogurt with my own homemade mix of flax seeds, buckwheat groats,  wheat germ, oats, sunflower seeds, and dried blueberries..       but at work, this year we've got new people running the cafeteria.. and they have homemade dim sum every day starting at 730 am usually.. and a different asian soup every day.. so i'm in heaven..   I usually have at least one bbq pork bun every morning...

Longhorn is a shape. (A cylinder, taller than it is wide.)  Colby and cheddar can both be made in longhorns.  A "half-moon" is made by cutting the longhorn vertically, and then cutting horizontal chunks.

Now to figure out what my PawPaw called rat cheese. It sure was good stuff. We would have a small chunk w/ breakfast. It was always room temp.

Rat cheese would most likely have been domestic cheddar, since this was the most common cheese up until about the 1950s.  The reason it was always served at room temperature was because this is how to get the most flavor out of the cheese.  (It got its name, I am sure, from being the cheese which was used to bait rat traps.)  Even the Free Dictionary defines rat cheese as cheddar:

    http://www.thefreedictionary.com/rat+cheese

(In case you are wondering about my knowledge of cheese, the 37 years I spent in the grocery business before retirement were spent as dairy manager of a local grocery chain.)
