I'm back to baking bread again. When I installed 700 sf of imported Italian porcelain floor tiles in my house I developed a carpal tunnel syndrome like damage to my left hand where I totally lost all gripping power and thus could not mix or knead bread and pizza dough. I'm completely recovered now but it lingered into December. Here are a few shots of some recent efforts to get your lips licking.

Whole wheat bread

Braided Italian bread

Guinness Stout Rye Bread

Guinness Stout Whole Wheat Bread with 100% Maple Syrup

Smithwick's Ale Whole Wheat Bread with a honey and egg glaze

James Page Voyageurs Extra Pale Ale Pot Bread

    Davydd,
So great to see your masterpieces again. Glad those hands are well! Looking forward to drooling over your pizza works of art. Keep well.

The more bread you make the harder it is to buy and eat a commercial loaf no matter what the quality. All commercial packaged bakers put too many foreign ingredients and preservatives in their bread and you can taste them after a diet of fresh, organic no-junk ingredient bread.

Beautiful Davydd, don't know which deserves more praise - The bread or the pictures. Since I cannot smell or taste the bread it will have to be the pictures.

They are works of art as well as tasty-looking!

I love home made bread and have longed to duplicate the airy/holey Portuguese White (not sweet!) bread of my youth on Cape Cod.  I'm getting closer!
