it's decent for the pastrami, (by southern california standards), not as good IMO as Harolds in Edison, NJ , for example. (which has the true kosher style taste) Brents is espescially good if you are in the san fernando valley area. I would not make a special trip up there if you were just planning to be in the west LA/ Beverly Hills area. (then Nate and als in Beverly Hills works just the same) Brents is a real "working mans'" deli, good honest food in a very unpretentious setting... it's way up there in Northridge on Parthenia St. in a very nondescript small strip shopping center... keep us posted on your choices, ellen

Brent's is pretty good for a west coast deli (my NJ prejudice showing).Their menu is more varied and better "environment" than Langers, but when it comes to pastrami, I think Langer's is better.
