Bright Star Wins James Beard Award!

Bessemer, AL's Bright Star has been named one of the James Beard Foundation Awards' "American Classics" honorees.  It is the first Alabama restaurant to earn this distinction.

    Yeah!!!  Congrats to this well deserved restaurant for the award.  That really is quite an honor.  I just ate at Bright Star for the first time in November and you can read about my visit here:

    I got very confused at the forum title as to why a period drama with Abbie Cornish would win a food award.  :)  Congrats Bright Star!
