Sounds like you both had a wonderful time, and got some good roadfood to boot, how did the cider go?? did you get your untreated cider??

Don, we got the untreated cider from Branstool Orchards in Utica, Ohio. It is delicious. I had a glass of cider at lunch today with my liverwurst, Swiss and onion sandwich on rye. The cider's already getting a little cloudy. By Monday it likely will have a good bite starting.

LOL - Mine NEVER lasts that long!  I usually only get half gallon at a time (course the orchard is only 7 miles away)

We went up to an orchard in Utica on Monday and sure 'nuff, they had the real McCoy.  We only got 1 gallon (don't have room for 2 in the fridge) and it is outta this world good.  It's not very far, about 45 mins. from here so when that one's gone, we'll go get another.  It's like night and day compared to the pasteurized stuff you get in the grocery stores.

I get a gallon at a time. lleechef said no to two gallons. Unfortunately, this place is a little over 30 miles northeast of us.

Yes, but we go right past Route 62 BBQ and Velvet Ice Cream at Ye Olde Mill.  So we can kill three birds with one stone: BBQ, ice cream, cider and apples all in a 1 1/2 hour ride!  And see the fall foliage!  We're going again tomorrow.
