She is much better today. The pneumonia is fading. Evidently the antibiotics and about a millions prayers have done their jobs. Friday and Saturday it looked pretty grim. Friday I really didn't think she was going to live.
 
She will be in Fairfax hospital a while longer then go to the rehab facility for a couple weeks or so. They will be doing physical therapy on the arm and make sure she can get around on her own when she finally gets to come home.

Mike, that's wonderful!  You could almost hear the despair in your voice (keying?) before.  Here's to a full recovery, and we'll still be sending those millions of prayers.

PP is now back on schedule to go to a rehab facility Friday or Saturday. Doing much better thanks.

PP did go to the rehab facility Friday the 13th. She was taken off the antibiotics after the 16th. But on the 18th they did a new chest x-ray and saw some of the pneumonia still hanging around. So she went back on them for awhile, I'm not sure how many more days worth.

We met her current Dr, the 1 who will be overseeing her care while in the rehab facility. She didn't have many answers. Actually she didn't impress me because she wasn't really up on PP's particulars. This after PP being there a full week. Granted the Dr had only been on 5 days before seeing her...

Not sure when she will be released to come home.

She still needs an MRI and then scheduled to see a Neuroligst. We can and will do that out patient. Have to find out why she had fallen 5 times in 6 weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if she is there 3 or 4 weeks total. She wants to come home but isn't up to it yet.

I bought her a lift chair last week from Costco. This Tuesday some Brothers and I will be building a wheel chair type ramp to the front door.

I'll keep thinking about her Mike--that's the worst when you feel well enough to want to go home but you can't just yet.  Hang in there PP!

She is still in the rehab hospital. Still has a bit of pnemonia showing up on a CT scan. Is now on the 3rd round of IV antibiotics. Won't get to come home until Tuesday at the earliest. That would make it exactly 31 days in the hospital.

My thoughts are with you both. My Mom had emphysema, and it always took longer to get rid of that damned pneumonia.But she did-so hang in there!

PP is scheduled for "parole" after 1800 tomorrow, Thursday! Yeahhhh!!!

She did make it home Thursday night. We are both glad to have her back here, after 33 days in the hospital.

That's great Mike--I know you're relieved to have her back.  Here's to a nice heal-up.
